Edmund Lee, M.D., Ph.D.

Founder & President — No More CoPays! Inc.

Born and raised in New York City and Brooklyn, NY, Edmund Lee's path to medicine was forged in the city's public schools and some of the nation's most distinguished institutions. A graduate of Stuyvesant High School, he went on to earn his B.S. from Binghamton University, his Ph.D. from Rutgers University, and his M.D. from Harvard Medical School — a journey that shaped both his scientific rigor and his deep commitment to patients.

Board certified in Dermatology, Dr. Lee was recognized by the Society for Investigative Dermatology in 2004 for ground-breaking research in psoriasis. His research at The Rockefeller University identified Interleukin-23, and subsequently the Th17 pathway, to be the pathologic immunologic cause of this common disfiguring rash. This discovery has led to the revolution in treatment of multiple inflammatory diseases of the skin and other organs. Throughout his career he served as a mentor to college students pursuing careers in medicine, believing that investing in the next generation of physicians is inseparable from improving care for patients.

Now retired from clinical practice, Dr. Lee is devoting his energy to a cause he considers the defining challenge of our era: re-imagining American healthcare. He founded No More CoPays! Inc. to educate the public, elevate the physician-patient relationship, and build the public will for comprehensive, patient-centered reform.

Karen Green, M.D.

Board of Directors

The practice of medicine with the highest quality patient care was the focus of Dr. Green's 36-year career in private practice until retiring. Her participation in the evolution of the medical care system — from private pay through managed care, both as a physician and as a patient — provided first-hand experience from both perspectives. She has dealt with all the issues and frustrations of the current medical system that get in the way of the best patient care possible. She strongly believes the public needs to be educated and motivated to bring change for the future of medical care in this country.

Deborah Hutchison brings four decades of nursing experience to No More CoPays! Inc., with her career rooted in the high-stakes environment of Neonatal Intensive Care. She earned her B.S.N. from SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and built her distinguished career at some of New York City's most respected teaching hospitals, including New York Hospital-Cornell and Mount Sinai Medical Center.

Over the course of her career, Deborah earned recognition as an expert in patient care, serving in roles spanning bedside nursing, nurse education, and nursing management. At Mount Sinai, she was a member of the Electronic Medical Records team and contributed to the design of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit — bringing a frontline nurse's perspective to the systems and spaces where the most vulnerable patients receive care.

Now retired from clinical practice, Deborah remains a passionate advocate for the health and wellness of patients and their families. She believes deeply in the mission of No More CoPays! Inc. and brings to the board a nurse's most essential qualities: compassion, precision, and an unwavering focus on the patient.
